This is a demonstration version of the new Graphics Copier¬ desk accessory. This desk accessory will allow you to open, view, and copy parts of PNTG or PICT documents. Documents created by applications such as Superpaint, MacPaint, Fullpaint, Cricket Draw, MacDraw, can now be accessed quickly and reliably without switching applications.
While there are many ╘paint cutter╒ desk accessories both in the commercial market, as well as the shareware and public domain, this is the first desk accessory that will open object oriented (PICT) documents as well as bit mapped (PNTG) documents. This ability gives added power to desktop publishers. Since object-oriented graphics print at the resolution of your output device (300 dots per inch on laser printers, up to 2400 dpi on Linotronic devices) your document can now have graphics as smooth and professional as the text. You can use Graphics Copier¬ to access commercial ╘draw art╒ collection, or your own graphics that have been created in an object-oriented graphics program and saved in the PICT format.
The Graphics Viewer demonstrates all the capabilities of Graphics Copier¬ save one - you cannot copy to the clipboard. It does, however, allow you to open and view PICT and PNTG documents, and gives you a good feel for the value provided by Graphics Copier¬.
There are certain ╘hidden╒ features (fully detailed in the Graphics Copier¬ manual) that need to be briefly described here to allow you to use Graphics Viewer to its full extent.
Option key - pressing this key will change the arrow to a hand icon allowing you to move the picture around in the screen.
Space bar - pressing the space bar will toggle the ╘full page╒ display on and off.
You can click inside the selection rectangle in ╘full page╒ display to move around the document.
The menu items are self explanatory and their functions become obvious with a little experimentation. Nearly every menu item has a keyboard equivalent.
